The SIFA System Explained

Zuccarini has been promoting SIFA Cafe Bar Systems & Displays in Ontario for many years now. We have helped many customers develop wonderful concepts especially well suited to SIFA systems, such as gourmet food shops, patisseries, gelaterias (Italian ice cream shops), and other “gourmet to go” locations.

We recently discovered that our experience with SIFA systems – combined with our high level of coffee retail knowledge in general - has also been an excellent fit for our customers seeking the best solution for their espresso bar.

To help explain how the unique SIFA system works, here are some commonly asked questions:

How does planning and design occur?

SIFA is a manufacturer of component systems (bar/service counters, refrigerated display cases, back bars with shelving, etc.) available in a variety of finishes, sizes, and price ranges. So a customer can simply follow these four steps to putting together a final concept:

      1. Pick your Look

               2. Choose your Elements

                        3.  Design your Layout

                                 4.  Select your Finishes

To explain: SIFA has designed an extensive range of unique “Looks” which can be viewed on SIFA’s website or in our showroom. Simply begin by choosing one or a several looks that appeal to you or fit with your overall concept.

Then you consult with us to pick your “Elements” – that is, which specific components you require in your location. The more information you can give us, the easier it will be to come up with the perfect “Layout”. By telling us which products and services you want to provide or feature (for instance, take-out coffee & pastries, or a bakery with espresso bar, or full-service Panini & desserts, etc.) we can incorporate the exact SIFA components with the dimensions of your space into a floor plan.

Then you simply have to select the “Finishes”, which are the colours, styles, accessories and materials you want. For instance, do you want one of the beautiful stock colour selections, or maybe a custom colour? Would you prefer stainless steel, marble or a specific-coloured composite counter top? And so on.

How long does the whole process take?

We work on the floor plan with you until you are satisfied with the end result, which takes as little as a few days depending on how quickly you are ready to make decisions. The AutoCAD drawing can be ready in a few days for you approval. Production takes exactly 5 weeks in Italy, with shipping time making a total of 8 ½ weeks from order confirmation to delivery. Installation of the system takes anywhere from 1 - 5 days depending on the size of the project and the number of components, with little or no disruption to your site.
